News from the Transitional Council

The Transitional Council of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist of Ontario (TC_CTCMPAO) is moving full speed ahead with regulation of the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Upon the approval by the government, the Council is expecting to provide information and to help practitioners to prepare for registration by the end of 2011, to start pre-registration and offering safety and jurisprudence courses in summer 2012. The proclamation of TCM Act is expected by March 2013 by which time, all practitioners must be registered in order to be qualified to practice. The self regulatory College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists are expected to be established shortly after with all elected professional members and government appointed members form the council.
