TSTCM is moving toward introducing and integrating TCM and Acupuncture into the mainstream health care system
Aug 12, 2010
Hiring TCM Practitioners at TSTCM for integrative medicine in the care & treatment of patients:
Dr. M. Grossman from the Jewish General Hospital, McGill University delivered a presentation to TSTCM students and faculty in order to educate them on integrative medicine in the care and treatment of patients with cancer and to recruit TCM practitioners to work in the hospital for the care of patients. Additionally, Dr. Mary Wu has been invited to visit the hospital and provide expert advice related to the principles and benefits of TCM for cancer prevention and treatments, as well as research and education in the integration of TCM for cancer care.
TSTCM has been invited to provide acupuncture / TCM to residents, care givers and staff of the Dorothy Ley Hospice.
This adventure will have many significance effects such as promoting the awareness and acceptance of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, providing choices and options for health and wellness to the public at large, providing a training base for students in palliative care, and opening job opportunities to qualified acupuncturists and TCM practitioners.
